Leeds United have been informed that a sum of \u00a321million would be enough to secure the services of Udinese’s stalwart defender Jaka Bijol.<\/p>\n
The Yorkshire club, eager to outmanoeuvre competitors such as AC Milan, Roma, and Bologna for the Slovenian’s signature, have had an initial offer turned down already.<\/p>\n
Their first bid, totalling around \u00a314.5m, indicates there’s more negotiation needed before the two clubs can come to terms.<\/p>\n
Leeds are now accelerating their efforts, with new manager Daniel Farke already giving the green light for Bijol’s acquisition.<\/p>\n
In recent comments, the 26-year-old centre-back expressed his openness to a summer move after spending three seasons with Udinese, remarking: “Is Milan looking for me? We are talking about a really big club.<\/p>\n
“These are just rumours and in Italy there really are a lot of them.
