The comedian was spotted in the famous Cavern Club as he took to the stage and performed a couple of songs on the microphone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Cavern Club Liverpool&#8217;s official <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/facebook\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> page shared a picture of Vic singing on the mic. The Cavern Club captioned their post: &#8220;90&#8217;s TV legend Vic Reeves couldn&#8217;t resist a song or two on the world famous stage!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Vic burst onto TV screens in the 1990s, alongside fellow comedian Bob Mortimer. The two were known for being a comedy-duo and entertained with their sketches. Some of their hit shows included <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/bbc\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a>\u2019s Shooting Stars and House of Fools.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The 66-year-old stopped doing comedy years ago, after an impressive career spanning decades, but still enjoys a close friendship with Bob. The last time Vic and Bob did a comedy show together was in 2017, but Jim told the Mirror how he keeps busy away from comedy: &#8220;I get up every morning very early, go into the studio, paint, and go out for a walk in the afternoon. I like that a lot better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The post uploaded by the Cavern was liked by nearly 900 people and 76 people left comments, praising the comedy star. Gemma Bond wrote: &#8220;I would have loved to have seen this!&#8221; Michael Thomas wrote &#8220;Gutted I missed him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Paul Draper focused on the song choice of Vic, saying: &#8220;If he didn&#8217;t perform Octopus&#8217;s Garden in the club singer style he should be banned for life!&#8221; Sandra Hamilton added &#8220;You&#8217;ve got to love him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rachel Powell commented: &#8220;I&#8217;m jealous beyond belief right now. I&#8217;m a massive Vic and Bob fan so this is terrific to see. I&#8217;d be star struck as well. Mel Holt agreed, adding &#8220;Unbelievable absolutely love Vic, childhood hero.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/lady-lever-art-gallery\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Lady Lever Art Gallery will<\/a> is presenting an exclusive range of artwork by Vic in a new exhibition, Dawn to Dusk: Birds by Jim Moir. The artist is known for his exquisite paintings of British birds. Around 45 will be on display with some of the paintings created exclusively for the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This will be the first time that the artist\u2019s paintings are displayed in a national gallery, with most works available for purchase. Vic said: &#8220;It\u2019s an honour to be exhibiting at Lady Lever; a truly unique gallery that\u2019s brimming with masterpieces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The process of working with the team at National Museums Liverpool has been a greatly enjoyable one and I\u2019m very much looking forward to sharing the finished exhibition with visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The 90s icon isn&#8217;t the only celebrity to make an appearance in the Cavern Club recently.
