\">Because the gaping hole in the tarmac in St Vincent Street, near the Utilita Arena, has revealed a section of they city\u2019s cobbled streets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The section of road, by a bridge over a railway line shows some of the cobbled paving of years gone by.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">They may date back to the Victorian era \u2018at a stretch\u2019, the authority said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The defect had been \u2018noted\u2019 and was \u2018currently awaiting repair\u2019, it went on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Then the time warp pothole portal will be filled based on the class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cAnd it will be repaired according to relevant priorities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe council and its contractor, Kier, are committed to preserving <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" potholes, but the issue is blighting the journeys of drivers across the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Last week, motorist Amjid Afzal told BirminghamLive of his frustration at <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/news\/midlands-news\/birminghams-worst-potholes-resident-says-31336200\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">gaping holes in Flaxley Road, Stechford<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said: &#8220;The condition of the road is very bad, if you drive up it it&#8217;s very bad, cars go up and down like a bouncy ride.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Also just by my house [Audley Road] it&#8217;s in a bad
