Oliver Crawford<\/a>\u00a0knocked out ATP title winner Jenson Brooksby\u00a0<\/strong>in straight sets while Jack\u00a0Pinnington Jones<\/strong>\u00a0won the British clash on centre court against Billy Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wild card Pinnington Jones fought hard to beat third seed Harris 7-6(7), 4-6, 6-3 over two hours and 44 minutes.<\/p>\n

The British qualifier, Crawford won 6-4, 7-5 in an hour and 35 minutes.<\/p>\n

Emily Appleton<\/a>\u00a0lost out 6-2, 4-6, 3-6 against Canada’s world No. 107,\u00a0Rebecca\u00a0Marino\u00a0<\/strong>in an hour and 54 minutes.<\/p>\n

British qualifier\u00a0Johannus Monday<\/strong>\u00a0lost out 4-6, 7-6(7), 3-6 to two-time ATP Challenger title holder Shintaro Mochizuki<\/strong> in two hours and six minutes.<\/p>\n

Women’s<\/strong><\/p>\n

British wild card\u00a0Appleton<\/a>\u00a0couldn’t make it past her doubles partner\u00a0Marino\u00a0<\/strong>in a three set battle.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old got off to a strong start – getting a double break to take the first set in 33 minutes but the eighth seed raised her level to get the decisive break in the second and third sets on her way to clinching the win.<\/p>\n

Top seed Alexandra Eala<\/strong> has eased into the quarter-finals in an hour and eight minutes after defeating qualifier Valentina Ryser<\/strong> 6-1, 6-2.<\/p>\n

Eala will take on Marino in tomorrow’s quarter-final match.<\/p>\n

In the battle of the Americans, Iva Jovic<\/strong> took the victory from Varvara Lepchenko<\/strong>, winning 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-0 in two hours and 11 minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jovic will move on to face Diane\u00a0Parry<\/strong> after her straight sets win over Britain’s\u00a0Harriet Dart<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n

Men’s<\/strong><\/p>\n

There wasn’t much separating Harris<\/strong> and Pinnington Jones<\/strong> in their opening set as it headed to a tie-break, but it was the young wild card who eventually got the lead over 30-year-old Harris.<\/p>\n

After the British No.4 levelled the score to a set apiece, Pinnington Jones fired back in the decider – finding a double break cushion to edge a 5-2 lead.<\/p>\n

Harris dug deep to recover one of the breaks but it wasn’t to be as Pinnington Jones went on to clinch the win on his second match point.<\/p>\n

He will face eighth seed Martin Landaluce<\/strong>, who needed just 57 minutes to defeat 2024 Lexus Surbiton Trophy winner Lloyd Harris<\/strong> 6-3, 6-0 earlier today.<\/p>\n

It was a confident win on centre court for\u00a0Crawford<\/strong>\u00a0who raced 4-0 up in the first set. Despite a break back from Brooksby<\/strong>, the Brit held his firm before eventually levelling the tie on his fourth set point.<\/p>\n

Crawford stayed strong in what was a tight second set as the pair exchanged early breaks but it\u00a0was the Brit who had the last say as he went on to seal the win.<\/p>\n

Crawford takes on Mochizuki<\/strong> in his quarter-final match after the Japanese player battled past British qualifier Monday<\/strong>\u00a0in a tight three-set battle.<\/p>\n

Doubles<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was lots of British action in the doubles as six British players will feature in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Third seeds Joshua Paris<\/strong> and Takeru Yuzuki won 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 against Harold Mayot and Tristan Schoolkate. They\u2019ll now face top seeds Diego Hidalgo and Patrik Trhac in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Charles Broom<\/strong> and Ben Jones<\/strong> also move through to the semi-finals after they defeated Indian pair Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan 6-4, 6-4. Awaiting them in the next round are Hady Habib and Trey Hilderbrand.<\/p>\n

Dart<\/a> and Maia Lumsden<\/a> defeated fellow Brit Appleton<\/a> and Rebecca Marino 6-4, 6-3 to book their place in the semi-final.<\/p>\n

Eden Silva<\/a> also bagged a semi-final spot with Vitalia Diatchenko after a 6-3 7-6(9) win against Alana Smith and Kayla Cross.<\/p>\n

Dart and Lumsden will face Silva and Diatchenko as they battle for a spot in the final.<\/p>\n
