Soccer Aid is back for another year with dozens of football legends and celebrities turning out to raise money for charity.<\/p>\n
The annual charity game will feature an England and World XI team of stars taking to the pitch at Manchester United\u2019s Old Trafford<\/a> stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n The match, which will be watched by millions at home on ITV1, is in aid of charity UNICEF, who support children to have happy and healthy childhoods.<\/p>\n Among those taking part in the game is television personality Roman Kemp, who will line up for England. Roman, 32, is well-known for radio presenting on Capital FM’s Breakfast show.<\/p>\n Roman became a finalist on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ in 2019 and joined the presenting team on X Factor in the same year. He became a regular presenter for BBC<\/a> One’s ‘The One Show’ in 2022 alongside hosting ITV’s ‘Get Britain Singing’.<\/p>\n Last year the presenter also took to the red carpet to cover both the 2024 TV BAFTA and BRIT Awards. Roman also fronts the BBC One gameshow ‘The Finish Line’ and has also appeared on shows such as Would I Lie to You and Celebrity Juice.<\/p>\n He has also regularly advocated for mental health support and presented the BBC One documentary Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency which aired in 2021. He has also written his own book ‘Are You Really OK?’ which reflects on his own mental health journey, and was published the following year.<\/p>\n Kemp will take part in Soccer Aid for the second time in a row this year after playing for the World XI team of stars last year.<\/p>\n Roman is also the son of the actor and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and the singer Shirlie Holliman. His godfather was the late George Michael. Roman and his father regularly appear together on Channel Four’s ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.<\/p>\n Soccer Aid was created by music legend Robbie Williams in 2006 and since then has raised over \u00a390m to aid UNICEF in helping support millions of children around the world to have healthy and happy childhoods.<\/p>\n The money raised from this year\u2019s game could help UNICEF protect children from disease and malnutrition, support their mental health and respond in times of crisis.<\/p>\n This year’s England XI features the likes of Jermain Defoe, Bear Grylls, Tom Grennan, Joe Hart, Gary Neville<\/a> and Louis Tomlinson.<\/p>\n Playing for the Rest of the World XI are stars including Tony Bellew, Nemanja Vidic, Gorka Marquez and Martin Compston.<\/p>\n![\"Roman](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_Capitals-Jingle-Bell-Ball-2023-Saturday.jpg\")
