The new generation is coming in, there’s still Sascha playing incredible tennis, I believe Daniil will come back again strong.

“With me and Carlos, I practice to understand what’s working with certain players and what’s not.

“I believe in Paris, I was very close, not only results-wise, but also the level was there. Enjoying that level on clay, I hope it’s going to give me the confidence to keep going.

“I think we [Alcaraz and I] are important, but as important as any other players. I don’t think only two players make the difference. There are 128 players in a Grand Slam, who make the sport very tough.

“I think me and Carlos, we are very happy to be in the position we are in.”

Photo by DIMITAR DILKOFF/AFP via Getty ImagesJannik Sinner’s last Wimbledon campaign ahead of the 2025 championships

After his French Open run, Wimbledon is now the only Grand Slam that Sinner has never made the final of.

His best campaign was a semi-final finish in 2023, where he lost to Djokovic in straight sets.

Last year, Sinner reached the quarter-finals of the tournament, after a promising first four matches at the All England Club.

RoundOpponent

Quarter-Final

Daniil Medvedev (L)

Fourth Round

Ben Shelton (W)

Third Round

Miomir Kecmanovic (W)

Second Round

Matteo Berrettini (W)

First Round

Yannick Hanfmann (W)

After beating Yannick Hanfmann in round one, he defeated former Wimbledon finalist and compatriot Matteo Berrettini.

He then swept aside Miomir Kecmanovic before earning another statement win against 14th seed Ben Shelton.

Sinner’s pursuit of the title was cut short by Daniil Medvedev in the last eight over five sets.

[4105
6359,5066,4718,79,1068,16,15
0":"post-187377","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tennis","8":"tag-carlos-alcaraz","9":"tag-french-open","10":"tag-jannik-sinner","11":"tag-sports","12":"tag-tennis","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
