Among the things that keep being discussed when it comes to the royal family, there\u2019s one thing that always seems to reign supreme. And it\u2019s not health concerns, despite the King\u2019s cancer<\/a> and Kate Middleton\u2019s recent illness. And it\u2019s not even the ongoing feud between King Charles and Prince William and Prince Harry. Instead, it\u2019s the state of the marriages between Prince William and Kate Middleton<\/a> and especially Prince Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a>. It seems like every other day, there are divorce rumors surrounding both couples.<\/p>\n

And according to Radar Online<\/a>, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not exactly seeing eye to eye as they negotiate a new Netflix deal, which is said to be worth $153 million. The streaming giant reportedly wants to include a divorce clause that would give Netflix \u201cfirst dibs\u201d on a post-split interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe negotiation table couldn\u2019t look more different to 2020, when they had\u00a0Oprah Winfrey, Spotify and Netflix all over them,\u201d the outlet said. \u201cNetflix isn\u2019t mucking around this time. They know Harry and Meghan need them more than the other way around, so how good this deal is depends on how far they\u2019re willing to go when it comes to sharing their story.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to an insider, \u201cEveryone can see, with the stress of everything, that there are cracks starting to show, and it\u2019s only fair that Netflix get first dibs on an interview if they do eventually divorce.\u201d Not just that, the report indicates the streamer is pushing hard for access. \u201cThey know Harry and Meghan are under pressure and all the cards are on the table \u2013 from a divorce chat being locked in, in advance, to introducing their kids to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those close to Harry and Meghan Markle say the two are not likely to divorce, as they lose too much by doing so, but the discussions have sparked \u201call kinds of tense conversations.\u201d This is particularly true because the two want to protect their children from the scrutiny.<\/p>\n

Recent reports have indicated that divorce chat Netflix wants might never come to pass. Former royal butler Paul Burrell, who once worked closely with\u00a0Princess Diana<\/a>, recently told Daily Mail\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Eden Confidential column: \u201cDespite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much.\u201d He also added that the two had found a \u201cbalance\u201d which works both for their marriage and brand.<\/p>\n

Markle herself had nothing but great things to say about her husband and the state of her marriage to Prince Harry<\/a> in a podcast. She told host Jamie Kern Lima about Harry, \u201cHe\u2019s such a great partner. I feel that every day in how supportive he\u2019s been and is, but I didn\u2019t know he said that, so that\u2019s really nice,\u201d she said. \u201cThat man loves me so much and, you know, look what we\u2019ve built. We\u2019ve built a beautiful life, and we have\u00a0two healthy, beautiful children.\u201d<\/p>\n

One cannot blame Netflix for the contingencies, but it looks like that divorce clause is unlikely to come into play.<\/p>\n
