On Sunday, Marlen Reusser (Movistar) took a commanding victory at the Tour de Suisse while wearing the yellow jersey. It was her second win of the four-stage race, after winning the opening stage<\/a> in a two-up sprint against former teammate Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez).<\/p>\n

The race was only four days long, but the stages were action-packed, with some of the best riders in the world fighting for victory at the Swiss WorldTour race. With the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift on the horizon, the Tour de Suisse saw a significant list of starters, though with some notable exceptions. When the race concluded on Sunday, it was three of the top Tour contenders fighting for the stage win in Reusser, Vollering and Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto), while a few breakthrough performances lengthened the list of outside riders to watch at the upcoming Grand Tours. <\/p>\n

Women’s cycling has been spoiling fans this season with the depth of strength across the board, the nail-biting tactics and some phenomenal course designs, and the Tour de Suisse was no exception. As the peloton gears up for the Giro in July, here are some major takeaways from the Swiss WorldTour race. <\/p>\n
