Jo\u00e3o Fonseca is a player on an upward trajectory when it comes to the professional tennis circuit. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Fonseca<\/a> has chosen to enter Halle ahead of Wimbledon<\/a>, and he will begin his campaign against Flavio Cobolli<\/a> on Tuesday afternoon. <\/p>\n

In his maiden season on the ATP<\/a> Tour, Fonseca is already up to number 57 in the world rankings, and he looks a seriously bright prospect. <\/p>\n

At the French Open<\/a>, the 18-year-old came through two matches, including one against Hubert Hurkacz<\/a>, before losing to Jack Draper<\/a> in round three. <\/p>\n

The whole world saw a blockbuster final between Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> and Jannik Sinner<\/a> at Roland Garros<\/a>, and Fonseca has now shared his thoughts on the two best players in world tennis. <\/p>\n

Fonseca is keen to learn as much as he can to continue climbing up the world rankings and he does look like a Grand Slam champion in waiting. <\/p>\n

After last weekend\u2019s final between Alcaraz and Sinner, which was won by the Spaniard in five sets, Fonseca has shared what he notices about the players when watching them on television, which is hard to spot when playing against them. <\/p>\n

He told Tennis TV: \u201cI like to watch a lot of Alcaraz and Sinner. <\/p>\n

\u201cI watched the final and it was amazing tennis and what these two are doing is great for tennis. I like to watch how they play and how they manage the important points, because I say it\u2019s difficult when I\u2019m watching with my family, because they see different things from what normal tennis players see. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou normally see their posture during the point, if they are positive or if they are negative and it\u2019s things that you don\u2019t normally see if you\u2019re playing against them. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was talking to my coach last weekend when they played and it was good for tennis and hopefully I can play with them in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fonseca can compete with Alcaraz and Sinner in the future<\/p>\n

Rarely does the game of tennis welcome a player on the scene who hits the ball quite as hard as Fonseca at such a young age. <\/p>\n

Alcaraz and Sinner will be acutely aware of Fonseca\u2019s progress, and with the more experience he gains, the higher up the rankings he will keep progressing. <\/p>\n

Fonseca has done tremendously well to make up so much ground on the ATP rankings and there is so much more to come from him. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite interesting that he\u2019s got his eye on Alcaraz and Sinner for learning purposes and it will be fascinating and exciting in equal measure to see what Fonseca can achieve in the next few years. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jo\u00e3o Fonseca is a player on an upward trajectory when it comes to the professional tennis circuit.
