It\u2019s been something of a quiet time for Aadi Alahan<\/a> (Adam Hussain<\/a>) in Coronation Street<\/a> recently. We\u2019ve really only seen him standing behind the counter of the corner shop pricing up custard creams and dealing with the occasional shoplifter.\u00a0<\/p>\n While Dev (Jimmi Harkishin<\/a>) is away in India, Aadi has been keen to step up and make a success of looking after his dad\u2019s business. He\u2019s ambitious, in his own way, and focused. And, let\u2019s face it, just a tiny bit boring.\u00a0<\/p>\n This is what Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) thinks, anyway. As Dev\u2019s partner she thinks of Aadi and his sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey) as her step-kids and she looks out for their welfare. <\/p>\n So when she overhears a conversation between Aadi, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) she realises that Aadi is sounding middle-aged well before his time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Since losing her son Paul (Peter Ash), Bernie is more aware than most that life is too short to waste and she tells Aadi to take the rest of the day off and go out and enjoy himself with his friends.\u00a0<\/p>\n Aadi embraces this concept, and tells Summer and Amy that he wants to plan a party.\u00a0<\/p>\n As we know that Adam Hussain is leaving his role as Aadi in the coming weeks, it seems that this could be the start of his exit storyline. Over the 5 years I\u2019ve spent there I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little. I have made friends that will last a lifetime and will surely miss such a special family!\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019m excited to see what the future brings!
