Legendary singer Cher<\/a>\u2019s son has been rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n The Believe hitmaker, 79<\/a>, shares 48-year-old Elijah Blue Allman with late musician Gregg Allman, who died in 2017.<\/p>\n She also has Chaz Bono, whom she welcomed in 1969 with then-husband Sonny Bono<\/a>.<\/p>\n As reported by TMZ<\/a>, the pop star\u2019s youngest child was dashed to \u2018the hospital in Joshua Tree, California<\/a>, after overdosing earlier Saturday morning.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n It is currently unknown \u2018what drugs he was using\u2019.<\/p>\n However, he is receiving \u2018the best care possible\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t A source also said that\u00a0Allman is \u2018very lucky to have survived.\u2019<\/p>\n It\u2019s said that Cher<\/a> is \u2018doing everything she can to get him the help he needs\u2019.<\/p>\n Allman has spoken publicly before about his drug use.<\/p>\n In 2014, he admitted that he started smoking weed and taking ecstasy when he was just 11.<\/p>\n This led to him having some \u2018close calls\u2019 and brushes with death.<\/p>\n He said at the time that he used drugs while \u2018looking to escape all the things in [his] past\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018[Heroin] kind of saved me,\u2019 he confessed to ET. \u2018If I didn\u2019t have that at that point, I don\u2019t know what I would have done \u2026 You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it, and then get help.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Allman also said: \u2018I did have some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality \u2026 I always kind of kept it a little bit safe, but you never can do that.\u2019<\/p>\n Also a singer, Allman also has half-siblings\u00a0Delilah Allman, Michael Allman, Layla Allman, and Devon Allman.<\/p>\n His relationship with his mother has hit the headlines in the past, as in 2023, Cher filed for a conservatorship<\/a> to manage his finances.<\/p>\n She said her son, aged 47 at the time, was \u2018substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.\u2019<\/p>\n Court documents filed detailed that Allman was entitled to regular payouts from a trust set up by his late father.<\/p>\n However, Cher was worried that the money would be used to fund his drug habits.<\/p>\n Cher argued that she was the best person to serve as conservator, with two of Allman\u2019s siblings also nominating her for the responsibility.<\/p>\n \t\t Her filing also included a swipe at Allman\u2019s estranged wife,\u00a0Marieangela King, as Cher claimed she had been undermining his attempts at getting help.<\/p>\n She argued that \u2018their tumultuous relationship has been marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises.\u2019<\/p>\n Cher further argued that \u2018any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah\u2019s life at risk.\u2019<\/p>\n After nine months of drama, it was confirmed that the mother and son had reached a private agreement.<\/p>\n Allman\u2019s attorneys, Avi Levy and Steven Brumer of\u00a0Cage & Miles, LLP, said in a statement to People: \u2018The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition.<\/p>\n \u2018This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond, a process that began during mediation and continues today.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Last May, Cher and Allman attended a private mediation session, during which they agreed to \u2018pause all legal proceedings and related activities, including all discovery and motion practice, to allow the parties to continue working together to privately and confidentially resolve this matter.\u2019<\/p>\n As for Cher\u2019s relationship with her older son, he often made appearances alongside his parents on their Emmy-winning variety show,\u00a0The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, starting when he was just two.<\/p>\n In March 2009, after turning 40, he began transitioning and came out as trans.<\/p>\n He opened up to Entertainment Tonight, saying: \u2018I was turning 40, and I thought, it\u2019s now or never. <\/p>\n \u2018I want to still feel vibrant and be able to enjoy my life in a male body and not wait until I am an old man.\u2019<\/p>\n He also fronted a documentary titled Becoming Chaz in 2011.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow![\"Mandatory](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/SEI_255689490-4fa1-e1750016472445.jpg\")
