A man has been rushed to hospital with a serious injury following a fight in the street in Oldham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officers were called out to reports of a group of men fighting on Market Street<\/a>, in Shaw, at around 8.25pm on Sunday night (June 15).<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says the man was taken to hospital after officers found him with a serious slash injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.<\/p>\n

An investigation has been launched and three men have been arrested on suspicion of affray offences.<\/p>\n

They remain in custody for questioning this afternoon, GMP says.<\/p>\n

A cordon was in place on nearby Durden Mews this morning, while a footpath between Market Street and Durden Mews was also taped off.<\/p>\n

Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses, or anyone with relevant video footage and information, are being urged to come forward.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Roberto Dicorato, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “We are still investigating the full circumstances of last night’s incident and have already made a number of arrests.<\/p>\n

“As this work continues, we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.<\/p>\n
