An insider has claimed the Duke of Sussex wants to “make peace” with his brother, Prince William<\/a>, detailing the last time they had a full-length conversation. The source said: “Harry really is keen to try to salvage some kind of relationship or even reopen dialogue. They have not had any full-length conversations or discussions since they had some time together around the Queen\u2019s passing.”<\/a><\/p>\n

They added: “And some of us saw Harry being so close to his brother as a gesture of saying ‘hey I am here, close by… what about us trying to work things out’? The sad thing is that many of us, within Harry\u2019s friends\u2019 circles, feel he wants to somehow make peace and return to talking terms.”<\/p>\n

He petitioned that his family\u2019s life was threatened by the decision and they required full-scale security for visits back to the UK.<\/p>\n

But a Government barrister told the Court of Appeal the Prince\u2019s decision to stop being a working royal resulted in a “unique set of circumstances”.<\/p>\n

During his brief return to the UK, Harry stayed at Coworth Park hotel<\/a>, in Ascot, Berkshire, which is near his brother’s family home, while attending the two-day hearing at the High Court in London over his police protection being reduced in this country.<\/p>\n

The five-star hotel is a short drive from William and Kate\u2019s residence Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom home in the grounds of Windsor Castle, within Windsor Home Park where the couple live with their three children.<\/p>\n

It also comes as the Court of Appeal were told Prince Harry<\/a> “felt forced to step back” from their roles as senior working royals as they felt they “were not being protected by the institution”.<\/p>\n

Harry has previously claimed Britain is “unsafe” for his family to visit since the couple left in 2020 and relocated to Montecito, California.<\/p>\n

Speaking to ITV News about the potential risks of visiting the UK, Prince Harry<\/a> said he would not risk bringing his wife and family here: “All it takes is for one lone actor who reads this stuff to act on what they’ve read,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me.
