{"id":189107,"date":"2025-06-16T13:44:15","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T13:44:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/189107\/"},"modified":"2025-06-16T13:44:15","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T13:44:15","slug":"ofsted-visits-nurturing-bristol-pre-school-where-no-child-falls-behind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/189107\/","title":{"rendered":"Ofsted visits &#8216;nurturing&#8217; Bristol pre-school where &#8216;no child falls behind&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Staff have high expectations and model positive attitudes to learning&#8221;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1_TCBR120625AbacusBRI.jpg\" alt=\"Staff at Abacus Pre-School in Stoke Gifford, which is celebrating a glowing Ofsted report in June 2025\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Staff at Abacus Pre-School in Stoke Gifford, which is celebrating a glowing Ofsted report in June 2025(Image: Abacus)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A pre-school in north Bristol has been given a glowing report following an Ofsted inspection, which found that the children are \u2018welcomed warmly\u2019 and the staff provide an \u2018ambitious\u2019 curriculum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Abacus pre-school in Stoke Gifford has more than 50 children on their roll throughout the week, with children aged between two and five either coming in the mornings, afternoons or all day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Ofsted inspectors arrived to cast their eye over the pre-school last month, and their report has listed the overall effectiveness as \u2018good\u2019, with ratings for the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and the leadership and management all ranked as \u2018good\u2019 too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The inspection report stated that: \u201cFrom the moment children arrive, they are welcomed warmly and supported to settle quickly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cStaff are attentive and responsive, promoting children&#8217;s emotional and physical well-being through consistent routines and positive interactions. This nurturing approach supports all children, including those with special educational needs and\/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring they feel safe and valued,\u201d the inspector added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe curriculum is ambitious and tailored to every child&#8217;s needs and interests, especially supporting disadvantaged children and those with SEND. It builds on what children already know and encourages curiosity, independence and resilience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cStaff have high expectations and model positive attitudes to learning, which children mirror in their enthusiasm and engagement.
