{"id":189198,"date":"2025-06-16T14:30:15","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T14:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/189198\/"},"modified":"2025-06-16T14:30:15","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T14:30:15","slug":"extremely-popular-vitamin-supplements-sold-nationwide-recalled-due-to-life-threatening-risk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/189198\/","title":{"rendered":"Extremely popular vitamin supplements sold nationwide recalled due to &#8216;life-threatening&#8217; risk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"author-section byline-plain\">By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/profile-673\/emily-joshu-sterne.html\" class=\"author\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EMILY JOSHU STERNE, SENIOR HEALTH REPORTER FOR DAILYMAIL.COM<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"byline-section\"> Published:  09:30 EDT, 16 June 2025   |  Updated:  09:37 EDT, 16 June 2025   <\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Popular B12 vitamins sold at <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/aldi\/index.html\" id=\"mol-d3807290-4ab2-11f0-988e-155bc67a65aa\" rel=\"noopener\">ALDI<\/a> have been recalled due to &#8216;undeclared&#8217; peanuts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">New York-based\u00a0Vita Warehouse Corp is voluntarily recalling one lot of\u00a0Welby brand Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummy product 1000 mcg 140 gummies, Berkely Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies and VitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies, the <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/fda\/index.html\" id=\"mol-d3826e60-4ab2-11f0-988e-155bc67a65aa\" rel=\"noopener\">FDA<\/a> announced Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/yourmoney\/product-recalls\/index.html\" id=\"mol-d385f0d0-4ab2-11f0-988e-155bc67a65aa\" rel=\"noopener\">recall<\/a> was initiated after ALDI, which operates 2,500 stores in the US, conducted routine testing to verify the accuracy of its &#8216;allergen-free&#8217; labels.\u00a0One of the test results indicated the <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-13467391\/babies-peanuts-eating-nuts-increases-risk-allergy.html\" rel=\"noopener\">potential presence of a peanut allergen<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Internal testing by the manufacturer verified the absence of peanuts, but the company still issued a recall out of an abundance of caution.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It&#8217;s unclear how many bottles of vitamin B12 supplements were included in the recalled lot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The products were sold at ALDI and BJ&#8217;s stores nationwide, as well as Amazon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The FDA said in its announcement: &#8216;People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the potential risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">No illnesses have been reported, and the FDA has not yet assigned a classification to the recall.
