Andy Murray has secured his first commercial partnership since departing from his coaching position with Novak Djokovic last month. <\/p>\n

The three-time Grand Slam champion has become the inaugural brand ambassador for Walker’s Shortbread, the renowned Scottish biscuit manufacturer.<\/p>\n

The tennis legend, who retired from professional play nearly a year ago, had been working alongside the Serbian star for five months before their recent separation.<\/p>\n

Despite indicating he was not eager to return to work immediately, Murray has now aligned himself with the heritage brand.<\/p>\n

Walker’s Shortbread, whose products reach more than 100 markets globally, has never previously appointed a brand ambassador in its extensive history.<\/p>\n

Murray’s connection to the traditional Scottish treat runs deep, stretching back to his childhood.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been eating shortbread since I was a kid my gran would make it all the time for us,” Murray revealed.<\/p>\n

The biscuits hold particular significance in marking his greatest triumphs: “We even celebrated my Wimbledon win with shortbread.”<\/p>\n

“Shortbread is one of my simple pleasures. No matter where I am in the world, a piece of Walker’s Shortbread always transports me back home.”<\/p>\n

The partnership will see Murray become the public face of Walker’s, with advertising campaigns set to appear at major railway stations throughout Britain. This marks a significant marketing push for the Scottish biscuit manufacturer.<\/p>\n

Murray expressed his pride in the collaboration, stating: “I am proudly Scottish, and partnering with Walker’s, a brand that has been representing Scotland around the world for well over a century, felt like a great fit for me.”<\/p>\n

He drew parallels between his own journey and the company’s heritage.<\/p>\n

“I come from a small tight-knit community and when I look back at where I have come from, I am proud of what I’ve achieved, which is something I share with Walker’s,” the 38-year-old said.<\/p>\n
