A WOMAN has revealed that she lost over eight stone and is now eight dress sizes smaller after using Mounjaro for six months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The blonde beauty<\/a>, who is from the UK<\/a>, confirmed that prior to using fat jabs<\/a>, she was a size 24<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But after using weight loss<\/a> injections for half a year, the content creator<\/a> was able to slim down<\/a> to a size 8.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, the young woman has taken to social media<\/a> to show off her jaw-dropping weight loss<\/a>, but experts and NHS<\/a> medics warn about the dangers of taking such medications without a prescription.<\/p>\n

While she didn\u2019t suffer majorly with vomiting or constipation, two common Mounjaro<\/a> consequences, she did claim to experience one disgusting side effect – sulfur burps<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mounjaro<\/a>, regarded by some as the King Kong of weight loss jabs, could soon be rolled out on the NHS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sun GP<\/a> Dr Zoe Williams<\/a> claimed it can save the lives of people with \u201clife-threatening levels of obesity<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

But despite this, the NHS<\/a> warned: \u201cNever take an anti-obesity medicine if it has not been prescribed to you. <\/p>\n

“These types of medicines may not be safe for you and can cause serious side effects.\u201d<\/p>\n

About half a million Brits use weight loss drugs<\/a> – and the number is expected to double in the next year.<\/p>\n

Mounjaro works by suppressing \u00adyour appetite<\/a>, making people feel fuller for longer.<\/p>\n

The injections are licensed for patients with type 2 diabetes<\/a> and to assist those who are clinically obese (with a Body Mass Index<\/a> of 30 or over).<\/p>\n

Weight Loss Jabs – Pros vs Cons<\/p>\n

One jab is administered each week but the duration is dependent on someone\u2019s weight.<\/p>\n

The drugs<\/a> can be lawfully supplied when prescribed by a practitioner – such as a doctor, nurse or a pharmacist-independent prescriber.<\/p>\n

But increasingly, people have been buying them through online pharmacies<\/a> with insufficient checks.<\/p>\n

Only recently, figures from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency revealed fat jabs had been linked to 82 deaths across the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And the family of a man from Burton upon Trent, Staffs, who died after taking Mounjaro, are now calling for a probe into the jab’s “potential to kill”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the dangers, this woman eagerly praised the effects of the fat jabs<\/a> on her body<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a short clip which was captioned “The difference. Over 8 stone loss. 8 sizes smaller”, this woman shared her jaw-dropping six month Mounjaro glow-up transformation, leaving many totally stunned.<\/p>\n

At the start of the short video, we saw the blonde prior to her weight loss<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At a size 24, the user wore a baggy T-shirt and a puffer coat, in an attempt to cover up her body.<\/p>\n

But seconds later, after slimming down to a size 8, the content creator<\/a>, who also suffers from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)<\/a>, proudly showed off her new physique, as she posed in the mirror wearing a black long-sleeved tight top<\/a> and a pair of black trousers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She confirmed that she began using the weight loss injections “after reading the positive reviews about weight loss” and whilst taking Mounjaro<\/a>, she ate in a calorie deficit<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Weight loss jabs are all the rage as studies and patient stories reveal they help people shed flab at almost unbelievable rates, as well as appearing to reduce the risk of serious diseases.<\/p>\n

Wegovy \u2013 a modified version of type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic \u2013 and Mounjaro are the leading weight loss injections used in the UK.<\/p>\n

Wegovy, real name semaglutide, has been used on the NHS for years while Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a newer and more powerful addition to the market. <\/p>\n

Mounjaro accounts for most private prescriptions for weight loss and is set to join Wegovy as an NHS staple this year.<\/p>\n

How do they work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The jabs work by suppressing your appetite, making you eat less so your body burns fat for energy instead and you lose weight.<\/p>\n

They do this my mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which signals to the brain when the stomach is full, so the drugs are officially called GLP-1 receptor agonists.<\/p>\n

They slow down digestion and increase insulin production, lowering blood sugar, which is why they were first developed to treat type 2 diabetes in which patients’ sugar levels are too high.<\/p>\n

Can I get them?<\/strong><\/p>\n

NHS prescriptions of weight loss drugs, mainly Wegovy and an older version called Saxenda (chemical name liraglutide), are controlled through specialist weight loss clinics.<\/p>\n

Typically a patient will have to have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, classifying them as medically obese, and also have a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure.<\/p>\n

GPs generally do not prescribe the drugs for weight loss.<\/p>\n

Private prescribers offer the jabs, most commonly Mounjaro, to anyone who is obese (BMI of 30+) or overweight (BMI 25-30) with a weight-related health risk.<\/p>\n

Private pharmacies have been rapped for handing them out too easily and video calls or face-to-face appointments are now mandatory to check a patient is being truthful about their size and health.<\/p>\n

Are there any risks?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes \u2013 side effects are common but most are relatively mild.<\/p>\n

Around half of people taking the drug experience gut issues, including sickness, bloating, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhoea.<\/p>\n

Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP and clinical consultant at patient.info, said: \u201cOne of the more uncommon side effects is severe acute pancreatitis, which is extremely painful and happens to one in 500 people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other uncommon side effects include altered taste, kidney problems, allergic reactions, gallbladder problems and hypoglycemia.<\/p>\n

Evidence has so far been inconclusive about whether the injections are damaging to patients’ mental health.<\/p>\n

Figures obtained by The Sun show that, up to January 2025, 85 patient deaths in the UK were suspected to be linked to the medicines.<\/p>\n

While she controlled her diet, the influencer didn\u2019t go to the gym<\/a>, and instead, just focused on walking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When it came to experiencing side effects<\/a>, the user, who pays privately for the jabs, explained: \u201cI\u2019ve had no or minimal side effects.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite this, she later confirmed: \u201cI had sulfur burps a couple times when I went up to 10mg but that\u2019s it really.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sulfur burps, or burps with a rotten egg smell, occur due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide gas in the digestive tract.<\/p>\n

Many Mounjaro users have confessed to suffering from such burps, which they have described as \u201cabsolutely disgusting\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite experiencing the nasty burps, this woman confirmed that she doesn\u2019t have any loose skin<\/a> after losing almost eight and a half stone.<\/p>\n

What are sulfur burps and how can I reduce them? <\/p>\n

SULFUR burps are burps that smell like rotten eggs due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H\u2082S) gas. <\/p>\n

This gas is produced when sulfur-containing foods break down in the digestive system or when certain bacteria in the gut produce it during digestion.<\/p>\n

Sulfur burps are also a common side effect of Mounjaro due to its effects on digestion and the gut microbiome. Here\u2019s why:<\/p>\n

Slower Digestion <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mounjaro slows gastric emptying, meaning food stays in your stomach longer. This can cause fermentation, leading to the production of hydrogen sulfide gas, which smells like rotten eggs.<\/p>\n

Changes in Gut Bacteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mounjaro may alter the gut microbiome, leading to an overgrowth of certain bacteria that produce sulfur-containing gases. This is especially common if there\u2019s an imbalance in gut flora.<\/p>\n
