A funfair incident which left 13 people hurt in Birmingham last year will feature in a BBC<\/a> Panorama documentary.<\/p>\n Funfairs: How Safe Are They? is set to look into accidents involving rides across the UK.<\/p>\n Some have left young children ‘completely covered in blood’ and victims thrown out of rides ‘like a ragdoll’, it is reported.<\/p>\n They are set to be brought to light in a BBC Panorama programme due to be broadcast at 8pm tonight (Monday, June 16).<\/p>\n It is alleged that some travelling fairground sites and societies are said to have rejected proposed safety measures.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Drug dealer who hid cocaine in Vaseline tubs jailed<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The Adips (Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme) list has reportedly allowed controversial inspectors to continue in their job.<\/p>\n The HSE has now said it is reviewing its industry safety guidance ‘to decide whether it, and the system it underpins, remains fit for purpose’, DailyMail<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n The BBC documentary features a woman who was injured last December when a 180ft Christmas<\/a> fairground ride crashed to the ground in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n The City Starflyer ride, provided by funfair suppliers Danter Attractions, was acclaimed as ‘one of the tallest rides around’.<\/p>\n Louise Brown said in the aftermath: “This can never happen again – we are in shock and all I can think of is what if my kids were on the ride.”<\/p>\n Ms Brown suffered injuries to her face, legs and arms, adding that her colleague was also hurt.<\/p>\n She said: “We were on it having fun and then it just crashed to the ground.<\/p>\n “It felt like we were descending, not at the highest point but still quite high. We just dropped. It went backwards first though, which I’ve never seen it do before.”<\/p>\n The programme will also highlight an incident on the Airmaxx 360 ride at Hull Fair which left Jade Harrison, then 21, with a broken jaw and lost tooth when she was thrown 15ft out of her seat in October 2019.<\/p>\n She collided with a teenage boy and underwent a two-hour operation, needing metal plates in her jaw, following a fairground incident.<\/p>\n Speaking to the BBC, Ms Harrison described hearing a ‘clicking noise’ in her back and the ride going on for about a minute and a half before it changed direction and was the last ‘concrete thing’ she remembered.<\/p>\n Ms Harrison told how she could feel herself ‘slip’ and that when she woke up she had a ‘bit of amnesia’ before starting to panic as she felt ‘something wasn’t right’ in her mouth as it felt like all her teeth had ‘gone’.<\/p>\n She said: “I could barely walk, I broke my jaw completely in half.
