ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Two 17-year-olds face charges following a home invasion over the weekend in Rockford. <\/p>\n
Each of the teens are charged with home invasion, possession of stolen property, criminal trespass and aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm. <\/p>\n
Around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, June 15, police were called to the 500 block of London Avenue for a report of a home invasion. The victim told officers four males came into the home, two of whom had shotguns. <\/p>\n
Officers in the area say they saw two of the suspects running and found them in the basement of a home in the 1500 block of Greenwood Avenue. Investigators reported finding a rifle in the area where the suspects ran. <\/p>\n
Both teens were taken to the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center. Police have not shared whether anyone else has been charged or detained in the investigation. <\/p>\n
