Markle, 43, discussed her viral \u201cBaby Mama Dance\u201d video during her appearance on the \u201cAspire with Emma Grede<\/strong>\u201d podcast, as seen in a sneak peek shared by People<\/a> on Monday, June 16, ahead of the Tuesday, June 17, episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to be authentic,\u201d she told Grede, 42, before asking if the podcast host had seen the viral Instagram video.<\/p>\n

The June 4 post showed a heavily pregnant Markle wearing a black dress and dancing to Mic Drop Mama\u2019s 2021 song \u201cBaby Mama Dance\u201d in a hospital room while in labor<\/a>. Her husband, Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>, looked casual in jeans and a sweatshirt as he danced back and forth across the room.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMeghan Markle has faced plenty of challenges since marrying into the British royal family \u2014 but she hasn\u2019t let them dim her light. The former Suits star fell into a whirlwind romance with Prince Harry in 2016, and by November 2017, the pair were engaged. During a candid interview with the BBC shortly after their [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cFour years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates\u2026 so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn\u2019t work \u2014 there was only one thing left to do! \ud83d\ude02\u201d Markle captioned the post, which she shared in honor of daughter Princess Lilibet\u2019s 4th birthday. Grede told Markle on the podcast that she and her family watched the dance video \u201clike 20 times,\u201d and the businesswoman couldn\u2019t believe that it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, is that, is that her? Is that Prince Harry there with the fingers \u2026 I was like, \u2018OK \u2026 good on Harry, let\u2019s go.\u2019 But that\u2019s you, right? Like that\u2019s you in a way that we kind of haven\u2019t been able to see you before,\u201d Grede said.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cAnd I did like a little secret cheer, \u2018cause I was like, \u2018Well, that\u2019s what I kind of want to see from you. Like, I wanna see that happiness, and that honesty, and that \u2018I don\u2019t give a f**k\u2019 kind of thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markle reminded Grede that the video was captured \u201cfour years ago\u201d and added, \u201cSo it\u2019s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there\u2019s still a whole life \u2014 a real, authentic, fun life \u2014 that\u2019s happening behind the scenes. I\u2019m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.\u201d<\/p>\n

After about five years away from social media, Markle returned to Instagram on New Year\u2019s Day. Her first post was a video of herself running on a beach and writing \u201c2025\u201d in the sand. Since then, the former Suits actress has used the platform to share glimpses into her family life and promote her various projects, including her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, her podcast, \u201cConfessions of a Female Founder\u201d and her lifestyle brand, As Ever.<\/p>\n

While Grede and her family loved seeing the \u201cBaby Momma Dance\u201d video, other social media users criticized it as \u201ccringe.\u201d Some viewers even claimed that Markle\u2019s movements in the clip didn\u2019t seem to signal that she was uncomfortable in the way that a soon-to-be mother is assumed to be and alleged that her pregnancy was a hoax.<\/p>\n

Markle\u2019s friend and tech entrepreneur Christopher Bouzy<\/strong> came to her defense<\/a> in an interview with Newsweek<\/a> on June 11.<\/p>\n
