{"id":190991,"date":"2025-06-17T06:36:17","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T06:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/190991\/"},"modified":"2025-06-17T06:36:17","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T06:36:17","slug":"woman-told-to-consider-herself-very-lucky-after-being-caught-with-child-pornography","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/190991\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman told to \u2018consider herself very lucky\u2019 after being caught with child pornography"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alicia Nkemla was handed a community order<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_160625nkemla4.jpg\" alt=\"Alicia Nkemla leaving Manchester Crown Court\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Alicia Nkemla leaving Manchester Crown Court(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A woman who \u2018sold herself\u2019 online has been hauled to court after being caught with indecent images of children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Alicia Nkemla was just 17 when she started to sell sexual images of herself online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">During some of the chats with punters Nkemla would be sent indecent photos of children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cShe said she knew it was wrong to keep these images, but said she played along for the money,\u201d said prosecutor William Donnelly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Nkemla denied the images were for her sexual gratification, and instead told police she did it for money and the attention of men, Manchester Crown Court heard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Following a search of her home in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/hulme\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Hulme<\/a>, officers recovered two mobile phones. After they were examined, they found \u2018hundreds\u2019 of indecent images of children.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_160625nkemla1.jpg\" alt=\"Alicia Nkemla\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Alicia Nkemla(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The defendant, now 19, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to possession of indecent images of children and possession of an extreme pornographic image.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She wept as she was told by a judge that she would not be jailed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">At her sentencing hearing, the judge, Recorder Paul Hodgkinson, told her barrister Waheed Baber: \u201cI have read the presentence report, and I am well aware of the difficult childhood she had.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cI am not going to send your client to prison.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Bursting into tears, Nkemla thanked the judge, before Mr Baber said: \u201cThe proceedings have had a positive and sobering effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The court heard that police raided Nkemla\u2019s home in October 2023 after receiving information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cShe said she had been \u2018selling herself online\u2019 &#8211; providing various services online in return for payment,\u201d Mr Donnelly said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cShe had obtained some images of children from the men she engaged with. There were hundreds of images. They were sent to her and retained.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Nkemla had used messaging-app Telegram to chat to customers. In some of the chats she \u2018encouraged\u2019 bestiality and was sent some videos in response.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/0_160625nkemla3.jpg\" alt=\"Alicia Nkemla leaving Manchester Crown Court\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Alicia Nkemla leaving Manchester Crown Court(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Addressing Nkemla in the dock, Recorder Hodgkinson said: \u201cYou could have had no argument about me sending you to prison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cYou brought your mother to hear about what you were doing on the internet &#8211; imagine the thoughts your mother must have been having hearing that. You are responsible for that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cMore importantly, every one of those images you received is a real child. Somebody is receiving harm, despicable and unmentionable harm, as a result of some people\u2019s thirst.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cIt is far from a victimless crime.
