{"id":191151,"date":"2025-06-17T08:00:23","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T08:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/191151\/"},"modified":"2025-06-17T08:00:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T08:00:23","slug":"tumbles-open-again-for-fun-and-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/191151\/","title":{"rendered":"Tumbles open again for fun and games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tumbles Soft Play at Portobello has reopened after a refurbishment programme to transform the venue into a dynamic new world of adventure called Explorer Island.<\/p>\n<p>The reopening was marked with a special celebration attended by friends, family, and the\u00a015 winners of a recent photo competition. <\/p>\n<p>The young adventurers were treated to an exclusive party, complete with fun activities, party bags, and the honour of being the first to explore the reimagined play space.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the festivities, the Tumbles team selected\u00a015 \u201cStar Guests\u201d- children from different age groups \u2013 who joined characters\u00a0Emma, Fox, and Squirrel\u00a0on their first expedition through the upgraded soft play environment.<\/p>\n<p>Ashliegh Murray, Manager at Tumbles, said: \u201cOur Explorer Island is a whole world of fun \u2013 an island where anything is possible, and adventure awaits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so excited to welcome families back to a space that\u2019s been designed to spark imagination, creativity, and active play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The refurbishment is part of Edinburgh Leisure\u2019s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive spaces for children and families, and the space now includes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New light and video features in the baby and toddler zones<\/li>\n<li>A reconfigured layout for enhanced play experiences<\/li>\n<li>Upgraded versions of favourite features<\/li>\n<li>Extended caf\u00e9 seating with fixed options<\/li>\n<li>New flooring throughout the soft play and caf\u00e9 areas<\/li>\n<li>A refreshed reception area<\/li>\n<li>A redecorated birthday party room for the return of celebration packages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tumbles is one of three soft play centres operated by\u00a0Edinburgh Leisure, the council-owned charity which works to provide everyone in the city with access to more active, healthy lives.
