Internally air-sourced heat pump technology replaces a fossil fuel water system.

Artisan’s David Westwater, said: “This design proposal will bring continued interest and investment to a vibrant corner of Edinburgh’s eastern city centre. The existing sandstone building is well-suited to hotel development with high levels of natural daylight and an established entrance area.”

Whitbread will operate the hotel under its hub by Premier Inn brand when complete, defined by smaller room sizes catering for shorter stays.

Much of the existing structure of Albany House will be retained

June 17 2025 Artisan Real Estate has submitted plans to transform a sandstone office building on the edge…

[8816
7530,748,1102,78270,4884,44538,12,712,16,15
0":"post-191153","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-edinburgh","8":"tag-architecture-in-the-uk","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-edinburgh","11":"tag-edinburgh-office-to-hotel-conversion-goes-before-planners","12":"tag-great-britain","13":"tag-june-2025","14":"tag-news","15":"tag-scotland","16":"tag-uk","17":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
