As the premium warm-up race for the Tour de France, the Crit\u00e9rium du Dauphin\u00e9 tends to be the spot for riders to test their legs on French roads, and it tends to be the first place teams unleash brand new bikes before they\u2019re officially launched around the Tour\u2019s Grand D\u00e9part.<\/p>\n

This year the most high profile of those \u2013 although certainly not the most talked about \u2013\u00a0was Visma-Lease a Bike\u2019s new Cerv\u00e9lo S5. The brand has thus far been tight lipped about the new model\u2019s details, and it generally looks similar to the previous one<\/a>, however with Jonas Vingegaard and co. riding the aero bike<\/a> on the Dauphin\u00e9\u2019s high mountain stages<\/a>, it\u2019s safe to assume that it\u2019s much lighter than its predecessor and can probably now be classed as an all-round road race bike<\/a>.
