Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has been given a major warning from one of the Owls\u2019 former owners.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chansiri failed to pay player and staff wages on time last month, causing Sheffield Wednesday to be charged with several breaches<\/a> of the EFL\u2019s regulations. <\/p>\n

But despite the poor ownership at Hillsborough, Danny Rohl steered his side to a comfortable mid-table finish in the Championship last term. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday players could leave<\/a> the South Yorkshire side on free transfers at the end of June, should Chansiri fail to meet his wage obligations for a second consecutive month.<\/p>\n

Amid the Owls\u2019 financial struggles, Charlton Athletic want to sign defender Akin Famewo<\/a> on a free transfer as the Addicks look to survive in the Championship following their promotion from League One. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield [17 June], former Wednesday owner Milan Mandaric said: \u201cI\u2019m going to try to see if I can see him. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

However, there could be light at the end of the tunnel, even though Chansiri rejected two offers to buy Wednesday from an American Consortium.<\/p>\n

As reported by The Athletic <\/a>[16 June], Florida-based property investor John Flanagan has made his interest in buying the Championship club public, and has even claimed that the Owls should have a 55,000 capacity stadium.<\/p>\n

For now, the Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> faithful will be far more concerned by the fact that some of their side\u2019s players remain unpaid and could leave Hillsborough later this summer, than by their stadium size.<\/p>\n

However, by making such a bold claim, Flanagan has established serious intent that he could be the man to oust Chansiri, if the Thai businessman is willing to sell.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
