Leeds United are already active in the summer transfer window, and more signings could soon arrive at Elland Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lukas Nmecha has been confirmed<\/a> as the first signing as the Whites return to the top-flight, but more need to follow.<\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> need to strengthen in several different positions, and are already making moves to reinforce their defence as they prepare for the step up.<\/p>\n

With Junior Firpo headed for the exit door, replacements are being targeted, and MOT Leeds News<\/strong> rounds up all the latest news coming out of Elland Road<\/a>, as the club\u2019s summer begins to gather pace.<\/p>\n

Firpo is closing in on a return to Real Betis<\/a>, and while this is a blow for Leeds, they have now pulled ahead of the Spanish side for an alternative target.<\/p>\n

Leeds are interested in Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno<\/a>, who was also linked with a return to Betis, but it is now reported that with Manuel Pellegrini\u2019s side closing in on Firpo, the Whites are the clear favourites to sign Moreno.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Moreno would add a lot of top-flight experience to the Leeds defence, and would be a low-cost replacement for Firpo if he arrives.<\/p>\n

Sam Greenwood<\/a> is likely to depart Leeds this summer as he continues to fall down the pecking order, and he could end up at another promoted side.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old did previously appear in the Premier League<\/a> for Leeds, but will be allowed to leave this summer in search of first-team football.<\/p>\n

49ers Enterprises recently completed a takeover of Rangers, and their interest in Carter-Vickers may have two motives, in both strengthening Leeds and weakening Celtic in one move.<\/p>\n

Celtic fans will be furious if such a move materialises as a result, but it remains to be seen whether a move materialises, given Leeds\u2019 other options at centre-back.<\/p>\n
