{"id":19304,"date":"2025-04-14T13:37:21","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T13:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/19304\/"},"modified":"2025-04-14T13:37:21","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T13:37:21","slug":"kris-boyd-responds-to-suggestion-celtic-winning-title-will-be-on-rangers-players-minds-vs-aberdeen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/19304\/","title":{"rendered":"Kris Boyd responds to suggestion Celtic winning title will be on Rangers players&#8217; minds vs Aberdeen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>It\u2019s a case of rinse and repeat for Celtic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Go back to Brendan Rodgers\u2019 first spell, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/ange-postecoglou-reminds-tottenham-fans-why-he-joined-them-from-celtic-in-the-first-place\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the vibrant football under Ange Postecoglou<\/a>, when Ronny Deila was lifting the Premiership title, or just the present. <\/p>\n<p>It has been the same old story, and that\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/brendan-rodgers-told-what-celtic-should-be-allowed-to-do-if-they-win-the-title-vs-rangers-at-ibrox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic dominating Scottish football<\/a>, as Rangers look on, changing everything they can, but to no avail. <\/p>\n<p>Last Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/cameron-carter-vickers-admits-brendan-rodgers-did-something-at-st-johnstone-that-hes-seen-only-a-few-times-before\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic slipped up and were beaten at St Johnstone<\/a>; nobody in green and white colours had any complaints, other than the pure anger and frustration from Rodgers. <\/p>\n<p>It meant that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic<\/a> couldn\u2019t win the Premiership title at home to Kilmarnock at Saturday lunchtime, but they could do it indirectly, and with a little push from Aberdeen. <\/p>\n<p>So, after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/match\/chris-sutton-makes-greg-taylor-and-james-forrest-point-every-celtic-fan-will-agree-with-after-5-1-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic thrashed Kilmarnock<\/a> by putting five goals past them, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/match\/how-the-american-media-and-fans-reacted-to-cameron-carter-vickers-outrageous-goal-for-celtic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stunning long-range effort from Cameron Carter-Vickers<\/a>, the scene is now set at Pittodrie. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"707\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/GettyImages-1397201307-1024x707.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Ian MacNicol\/Getty Images\" \/>Photo by Ian MacNicol\/Getty ImagesKris Boyd reacts to the suggestion that Celtic winning the title will be on Rangers players\u2019 minds<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s pretty simple: if Aberdeen beats Rangers, then it\u2019s title number 55 for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/celtic-officially-overtake-rangers-in-most-won-trophies-list-after-shattering-premier-sports-cup-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scotland\u2019s most successful club<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/tag\/kris-boyd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kris Boyd<\/a> was asked about that scenario, and whether or not it will play on the minds of Barry Ferguson\u2019s side, but he stated that \u2018they will focus on themselves\u2019 against Aberdeen, as he told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/football\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sky Sports News<\/a> (13\/04\/25 at 9:45 am). <\/p>\n<p>Reporter Luke Shanley asked: \u2018Just on the title, how much of that is on the Rangers players\u2019 minds to try and prevent Celtic from winning this weekend or today (on Sunday)?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Boyd responded: \u201cIt\u2019s going to happen, isn\u2019t it?! Celtic are obviously going to be crowned champions. I think, for Rangers, they will focus on themselves. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know people will say, \u2018Thursday is a huge game\u2019, but so is today. There is going to be a huge travelling support that is going to pay a lot of money to watch their team perform. They want to see a performance to represent that badge. They aren\u2019t just going to roll over and let Aberdeen win the game of football.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know Rangers\u2019 main aim and main focus is to try and progress in Europe on Thursday night.
