It comes as around 30 masked youths gathered close to Orchard Row shortly after 6pm.<\/p>\n

Bricks, bottles and masonry have been thrown at police lines.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the second night riot teams have been deployed in the city.<\/p>\n

A PSNI spokesperson said: \u201cPolice are dealing with ongoing disorder in the Nailors Row area of Derry \/ Londonderry this evening, Tuesday 17th June.<\/p>\n

\u201cA number of missiles, including masonry and petrol bombs, have been thrown towards officers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would ask motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area until further notice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last night<\/a>, officers came under attack after the same group of youths attempted to attack homes in the Fountain Estate.<\/p>\n

Three officers were injured after police came under attack during the overnight disorder, an MLA has said.<\/p>\n

Authorities were pelted with debris and fireworks shortly after 8pm, close to the city walls.<\/p>\n

A crowd had gathered in the Orchard Row area of the city before police were attacked.<\/p>\n

The gathering was organised over social media on Monday night.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood that several attempts were made to attack homes in the Fountain Estate before police intervened.<\/p>\n

Videos posted to social media show crowds of youths shooting fireworks at officers in riot gear.<\/p>\n

In an update this afternoon, police confirmed two arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson added: \u201cA second arrest has been made today, 17 June, by police in Derry\/Londonderry in connection with disorder in the Nailors Row area of the city last night, 16 June.<\/p>\n

\u201cA 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of riotous behaviour, and has since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries to be conducted.\u201d<\/p>\n
