Beatrice\u2019s Beulah London ensemble had a belted jacket, puff sleeves, and large buttons, paired with a matching midi skirt with the same plaid pattern. Atop her head was a coordinating fascinator\u2014customary for Ascot. This particular outfit is from Virginia Chadwyck Healey\u2019s limited edition capsule collection for the brand\u2014the same Virginia Chadwyk Healey who is a friend and former stylist of the Princess of Wales.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Diana\u2014whose style is often duplicated by modern royal women, not the least of which the current Princess of Wales\u2014was a fan of the pink gingham print. In addition to wearing a pair of pink gingham trousers in 1986 alongside her son Prince Harry, Diana also wore the print to a service at St. Paul\u2019s Cathedral (her wedding venue!) in 1990. Diana also wore a coatdress by Catherine Walker\u2014her favorite designer, and the designer of Kate\u2019s look to Trooping the Colour on Saturday\u2014and also wore the piece to a visit to St. Alban\u2019s Cathedral in September 1989, one year prior.
