The checks will be part of monitoring already done by Benidorm\u2019s Policia Local to ensure scooters and their riders are following the law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Mobility Solutions Direct has issued fresh guidance, warning of the increased police scrutiny regarding the insurance of mobility scooter users.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Lee Cartwright, an expert from the company, said: \u201cThe resort is facing issues due to its popularity, particularly with the increasing complaints about mobility scooters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Problems arise from people renting them just for fun. The local council has expressed a desire for these scooters to be used responsibly and only for genuine needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Mr Cartwright advised getting proper insurance to offer vital protection.
