A man who was handed a restraining order for stalking Emma Raducanu has been caught trying to buy Wimbledon tickets. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The man’s name was spotted by the All England Club’s security system as he attempted to apply for the public ballot.<\/p>\n

BBC Sport revealed that the system found the name<\/a> that had been red-flagged and blocked it from being able to buy tickets. <\/p>\n

Raducanu<\/a> will be featuring at Wimbledon this summer, with the tournament getting started on June 30<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The British No.1 was left visibly shaken<\/a> after she spotted the man in the crowd during a match at the Dubai Open in February.<\/p>\n

The individual had approached her twice off-court, before the ordeal continued whilst she was on it, as she faced Karolina Muchova. <\/p>\n

He was said to have first approached Raducanu at a public cafe near the tournament hotel, handing her a letter containing his personal details and taking a photograph.<\/p>\n

Roman Kelecic, who coached Raducanu as a junior and was seen working with her earlier this year, alleged the man in question also trailed her in Singapore, the UAE and Qatar<\/a> in the same month.<\/p>\n

Straight after the incident, the WTA released a statement revealing that the individual in question would be banned from all future events on the tour, having ‘exhibited fixated behaviour’ towards her.<\/p>\n

And the man was given a restraining order by Dubai police<\/a>, with his name passed around to all tennis authorities. <\/p>\n

Raducanu opted against pressing charges after he was detained.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the ordeal that occurred during her match in Dubai, the 22-year-old explained: “I saw him in the first game of the match and I was like, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to finish’.<\/p>\n

“I literally couldn’t see the ball through tears. I could barely breathe. I was like, ‘I need to just take a breather’.”<\/p>\n

She then added a month afterwards: “Since that incident, I have definitely got increased attention and greater security.<\/p>\n

“All we can do is look at what happened and react to it in a better way, in a more positive way, rather than looking back and blaming the situation.<\/p>\n

“Now it is being dealt with better, so for me that’s important.<\/p>\n

“I’m always now very aware and not necessarily doing things on my own any more. I’m always with someone and always being watched.”<\/p>\n

Raducanu also went on to delete her Instagram account<\/a> just a few weeks later after the horrifying ordeal.<\/p>\n

She has since had no problems caused by the stalker at tournaments, but the All England Club have now blocked another potential scare. <\/p>\n

The British sensation will be hoping for success at Wimbledon this summer amid some continuing injury issues. <\/p>\n

Raducanu had to pull out of the Berlin Open<\/a> due to back problems. <\/p>\n
