<\/a> <\/p>\nThe United Kingdom Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has opened its doors as a ‘story-driven’ experience illustrating the shared history of the UK and Japan.<\/p>\n
The government-commissioned building has been designed by Immersive International to house an experiential environment combining projection mapping, responsive lighting, spatial audio, and interactive elements.<\/p>\n
The hi-tech approach will deliver a fresh take on a shared cultural heritage such as a famous 1983 Nessie hunt conducted by Emperor Naruhito on a visit to the Highlands while studying at Oxford’s Merton College.<\/p>\n
This includes a central exhibit inviting expo-goers to ‘Come Build the Future’ in a new era of creative collaborations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Principal designer John Munro, CEO of Immersive International, said: \u201cThis Pavilion is really a snapshot of how we approach experiential masterplanning. We have built an experience that speaks to people on an emotional level – one that lingers long after they leave. Our approach at Immersive has always been about storytelling first. Technology is the amplifier. It\u2019s what turns ideas into encounters, and space into memory. The Pavilion is a place where visitors don’t just learn about British innovation – they feel it. They see themselves in it.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pavilion was created by design and build delivery partner ES Global, who engaged Woo Architects to design a fully demountable and reusable structure, with help from other partners including Atelier Ten.<\/p>\n
