It\u2019s all sunshine, smiles and pulse-racing saucers today as the second day of Royal Ascot<\/a> ushers in a whole new rolodex of glamorous guests in their most beguiling regalia for 2025<\/a>. First founded by Queen Anne in 1711 when the monarch discovered an ideal sport for \u2018horses to gallop at full stretch\u2019, this rousing racetrack of full-throttle thrills and fashion<\/a> has long been a destination of decadence for the ever-elegant equestrian inclined. Over the past 300 years, it has seen the upper crust of British society don their finest race day ensembles, including, of course, their most fabulous hats.<\/p>\n Today, it was Alizee Thevenet alongside mother-in-law Carole Middleton who had the fashion crowd stopping in their tracks. Thevenet opted for a soft mint gingham collared design which she paired with a matching plumed headpiece, while Middleton oozed grande dame gorgeousness in a lace dress in the colour of the season<\/a>, butter yellow.<\/p>\n Yesterday, the Duchess of Edinburgh<\/a> led the way for the Ascot best dressed revellers within its hallowed grounds.
