The award winners include Trystan Williams, who launched the UK\u2019s first AI-powered workload reduction project designed to improve teaching efficiency in special schools.<\/p>\n<p>The SGS (South Gloucestershire and Stroud College) Life Esol Team also picked up the Silver Award for FE Team of the Year, for their commitment to empowering students both inside and outside the classroom. They support newcomers and refugees in the community to make them feel welcome, even hosting them on Christmas Day to enjoy a free Christmas lunch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The deserving winners are part of a group of 93 teachers, lecturers, leaders, support staff and institutions across the UK who are being celebrated in their school communities as they are announced as winners in the Awards. This group has been recognised on National Thank a Teacher Day for their contribution and commitment to education and the work they have done to improve the lives of young people. <\/p>\n<p>Celebrities, students and schools across the UK are today paying tribute to all those who work in education, shining a light on the exceptional impact they have on shaping young lives. The full list of Bristol winners include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trystan Williams of E-ACT Venturers&#8217; Academy who won the Silver Award for SEND and Inclusive Practice<\/li>\n<li>Anna Hicks of Bannerman Road Community Academy who won the Silver Award for Unsung Hero<\/li>\n<li>The SGS Life ESOL Team of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College &#8211; Filton Campus who won the Silver Award for FE Team of the Year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Silver Award winners now move forward as finalists for the Gold Award, which will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London, and on BBC One\u2019s The One Show later this year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/JS372823798-2.jpg\" class=\"kg-image\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1350\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>National Thank a Teacher Day and the Pearson National Teaching Awards are run by the Teaching Awards Trust, an independent charity established more than 25 years ago to celebrate the transformative impact of education, shining a spotlight on the pivotal roles teachers, support staff, colleges, schools and early years educators play in inspiring young people, every single day.<\/p>\n<p>Sir Michael Morpurgo, author, former Children\u2019s Laureate, and President of the Teaching Awards Trust, says: &#8220;The dedication and impact of those involved in educating young people is truly remarkable.
