An flight heading towards Edinburgh<\/a> has been forced to divert after declaring a mid-air emergency.<\/p>\n Loganair flight LM324 issued a squawk 7700 code as it headed for the capital<\/a> after taking off from Southampton shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.<\/p>\n The aircraft was set to land in Edinburgh around 1.55pm but was diverted to Manchester after the alarm was raised.
