The famous burger restaurant began opening its doors across the UK this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Carl&#8217;s Jr. &#8211; renowned Californian burger chain &#8211; <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/news\/uk-news\/popular-california-food-chain-opens-31397286\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">opened its doors in Cardiff<\/a> on Thursday, April 3, in St. David&#8217;s Shopping Centre &#8211; with people queuing up outside the restaurant to get a taste of the bold flavours the brand is known for.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The opening marks the start of an ambitious plan for the brand, with its operator Boparan Restaurant Group (BPG) <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/whats-on\/food-drink-news\/fast-food-chain-the-best-31129580\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">announcing in March<\/a> that they aim to open at least 100 sites across the county within four years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A second site is set to be opened before the summer in the south of England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">And the Manchester Evening News can confirm that the group has its eyes set on Manchester for another one of its future sites &#8211; but no set date or location has been released by the company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Although details of any opening are yet to be confirmed, the city is already in talks of being one of the first locations it may come to next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This will be good news for fast food enjoyers, as Carl\u2019s Jr. is renowned for having some of the best burgers in the business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The chain\u2019s opening in Cardiff saw more than 200 transactions in its first hour of trading and people were queuing up for hours before the site even opened its doors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/0_Carls-JNR-MR-72.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The queue outside of Carl&#8217;s Jr. when it opened in Cardiff(Image: Boparan Restaurant Group)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rodrigo de la Torre, interim president of Carl&#8217;s Jr.&#8217;s parent organisation CKE International, described the opening as \u201cone of our most successful openings in Europe to date and we look forward to seeing Boparan&#8217;s continued success.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">WhatsApp<\/strong><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"> group <\/strong><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/GY77Jy0SeCL8ZFZaNcWsVq\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"HERELink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Speaking to Restaurant Online, David Moffat, country manager for Carl&#8217;s Jr. UK said: &#8220;We&#8217;re looking at a steady rollout with a target of 100 restaurants plus in four years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;We&#8217;ll open a number of corporate stores that we&#8217;ll retain as we go along and we&#8217;ll also go into the sub franchise market, which we hope to begin actioning towards the end of the year.
