And every day I feel my mum swimming alongside me,\u201d she told <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/women\/life\/minnie-driver-surface-life-looked-lovely-glossy-awful-lot-pain\/\" target=\"_blank\">Telegraph<\/a> about how she feels closer to her late mother. She added to Financial Times that her happy place is \u201cBy the ocean, with my son.\u201d According to the CDC, swimming is an effective way to incorporate regular aerobic physical activity into your routine. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.<\/p>\n<p>Minnie started her podcast, Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver, because she is such an advocate of talking it out. \u201cMy manager suggested I do a podcast because I am always asking questions, always trying to get to the stuff of life and creativity. I loved the interview process, it felt very freeing,\u201d she told Telegraph. \u201cWhen you go through massive life changes you do start breaking down barriers and connecting in different ways and it all helps. None of us live perfect lives, things happen but we just have to find our way through. I\u2019m finding my way and I\u2019m grateful for anything that helps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Minnie has a favorite meal: \u201cRoast chicken, roast potatoes, bread sauce, parsnips, leeks, green beans. Either cooked by myself, my mother or my sister because we all make the best roasts and the best gravy,\u201d she told the Telegraph.<\/p>\n<p>Minnie, who lives in a 2-bedroom cottage on the ocean in Malibu, is an avid surfer. \u201cRiding a wave in the Ocean where I live. She is my other great love. I would do anything to protect her,\u201d she wrote in an Instagram post.
