<\/a><\/p>\n\u201cOn Tuesday night I went out for a walk and I went to bed early,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cProbably we were all excited about the Masters because, as kids growing up, you know, we get the Masters week \u2014 we\u2019re all excited because we\u2019ve watched it from being very young.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd so, you know, lying in bed I had the dream,\u201d he told Radio Ulster.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got up the next morning, everything had kicked in that Rory had won the Masters and won at the play-off.\u201d<\/p>\n
The next morning Mr Farr, who works as a golf pro, told his work colleagues at Whitehead Golf Club, about the dream he had hours earlier.<\/p>\n
His work mates suggested Mr Farr put his dream to the test.<\/p>\n
\u201cA couple of guys at Whitehead had said to me, why don\u2019t you request a bet?<\/p>\n
\u201cI emailed William Hill, and they sent me back and they laid me odds of 40 to one.<\/p>\n
\u201cForty to one! Well, I just said, well I have to have a bit of that. I put \u00a320 on Rory at 40 to one.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Farr, was at home last night cheering on the Holywood golfer to take home the green jacket.<\/p>\n
However, he couldn\u2019t believe his eyes as he watched the spectacle on TV and his late night vision had actually come through.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted Rory to win. But it actually was freaking me out.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, how could you make a prediction like that? And I\u2019m sitting looking at the TV saying, this is \u2014 this is not real. Like, this can\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
McIlroy fan, Mr Farr went on to praise Rory for securing the huge win despite all the pressure placed upon him.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just, you know\u2026 Did any of us ever think that we would ever see it?,\u201c he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, that the young lad, all the expectations that were put on his shoulders from being a very young lad \u2014 he\u2019s done everything.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd golf \u2014 golf in Northern Ireland can only go forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
