alive in summer – but some of the most popular shoreline spots are right here in the United Kingdom.

A new study has found that of the five most-loved seaside destinations across Europe, four are in Britain – with Welsh locations performing particularly well.

The UK beaches are ranked higher than any of the coasts in popular holiday haunts such as <a style="font-weight: bold;" target="_self" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/spain/index.html" from Holidu, an online holiday rental class="mol-para-with-font">The beach is only accessible via a half-mile walk from the nearest car park, which gives it a true sense of seclusion.

Continuing to fly the flag for Britain in third place is the charming Traeth Mwnt on the west coast of Wales, known for its white sand and scenic coastal paths.

Woolacombe Beach in Devon is England’s first entry in the rankings, coming fourth.

 <img decoding="async" id="i-606841cd936ff3ab"
