Police have detected a driver speeding at 106mph on a busy Northern Ireland<\/a> road.<\/p>\n Officers from the Maydown Road Policing Unit detected the driver speeding at 106mph on the A6 on Thursday. They also discovered another vehicle being driven with a bald tyre.<\/p>\n Posting on Facebook, Derry City and Strabane PSNI<\/a> said: “Officers from Maydown Road Policing Unit detected a driver speeding at 106mph today on the A6. That driver is now facing a day in court.<\/p>\n “We can’t stress enough just how dangerous speeding is and how it can have devastating consequences.<\/p>\n “Other traffic offences detected included a vehicle being driven with a bald tyre (pictured). Officers also conducted speed checks in Magheramason.<\/a><\/p>\n “With the roads expected to be busy this weekend due to the 2025 Donegal<\/a> International Rally, we’re appealing to all drivers to slow down and stay safe.
