As shown previously, the updated in-call screen features larger UI elements, including bigger pill-shaped buttons, contact names, and caller photos. The Recent tab has also received a minor change, and the recent calls list now has a contrasting background with rounded edges.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_Mg\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Google Phone Material 3 Expressive in call screen\"  alt=\"Google Phone Material 3 Expressive in call screen\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Google-Phone-Material-3-Expressive-in-call-screen.jpg\"\/><img class=\"e_Mg\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Google Phone Material 3 Expressive Recent tab\"  alt=\"Google Phone Material 3 Expressive Recent tab\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Google-Phone-Material-3-Expressive-Recent-tab.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Google has also rolled out the new \u201cIncoming call gesture\u201d setting to the Phone app, which lets you choose one of two new incoming call screen interfaces. If you pick the \u201cSingle tap\u201d gesture, the incoming call interface features \u201cAnswer\u201d and \u201cDecline\u201d buttons that you can tap to receive or end an incoming call.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cHorizontal swipe\u201d gesture, on the other hand, adds a pill-shaped slider to the incoming call screen. It has a phone button in the middle and options to answer or decline the call on either side. On this interface, you can swipe the phone button to the right to receive a call or to the left to decline it.<\/p>\n<p>These Google Phone app changes aren\u2019t widely available, but we expect Google to roll them out soon. We\u2019ll update this post when the Phone app\u2019s Material 3 Expressive makeover hits the stable channel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Got a tip?
