Mikel Arteta is now considering a move to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arsenal are already close to signing Kepa Arrizabalaga<\/a> from the Blues as a new backup for David Raya<\/a>, after Neto<\/a> returned to Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Now, the Gunners are also exploring a move for the England international as Andrea Berta<\/a> \u2013 Director of Football at Arsenal \u2013 targets depth in the wide attacking areas to support Gabriel Martinelli<\/a> and Bukayo Saka<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Arsenal<\/a> enquired about Noni Madueke<\/a> \u2013 according to the Telegraph<\/a> \u2013 his past comments on the Gunners are worth exploring.<\/p>\n

Noni Madueke has previously called Arsenal a \u201cgreat team\u201d and hailed Bukayo Saka<\/p>\n

The Chelsea<\/a> No.11 showed his admiration for Arsenal back in November by calling the Gunners a \u201cgreat team\u201d \u2013 ahead of a London derby between the two sides in the Premier League \u2013 but also revealed his desperation to get one over on Saka and Declan Rice, his England colleagues. <\/p>\n

Madueke was quoted by the Daily Mail<\/a> as saying: \u201cThey\u2019re still a great team and they\u2019ve challenged for the title for the last couple of years\u2026 in terms of us, we are just going to prepare for this as we do any other match.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s always a little bit of bragging rights with the boys but I\u2019m going into Sunday trying to win for sure\u2026but there\u2019s always that added rivalry when you play with them for the national team as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old also heaped praise on Saka, adding: \u201cEven as an academy player, the north London derbies were always super competitive. Bukayo was always a great player. He was a goal threat, fast, strong and always made the right decisions \u2013 just like he does now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madueke \u2013 who Chelsea signed in a \u00a329m deal from PSV Eindhoven back in January 2022 \u2013 scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions last season. <\/p>\n

What Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have said about Noni Madueke<\/p>\n

Saka, Rice and Madueke \u2013 who Arne Slot praised<\/a> \u2013 seem to have grown very close on international duty with England, as the Arsenal duo have also praised the Chelsea winger despite the London rivalry. <\/p>\n

Rice commented \u201cbolide noir\u201d on the Londoner\u2019s Instagram page after he impressed on his England debut against Finland back in September, a term which translates to black sports car, emphasising his speed and quality.<\/p>\n

Saka also responded \u2013 albeit with a wordless message \u2013 posting an applauding emoji to congratulate his fellow winger.<\/p>\n
