His promoter, Frank Warren, had insisted that until an amended contract was issued then Cameron will indeed fight over the championship distance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.2; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">Cameron today posted on social media: \u201cBoxxer have my terms to accept to change the fight to 10 rounds but they are refusing to send me a contract to vary the deal and are trying to suggest they can change the rounds without a contract. Going into fight week not knowing how many rounds I\u2019m fighting is a joke for me and for my opponent. As I post this it\u2019s still a 12 round fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.2; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">Cameron, 23-6-1 (10 KOs), is the more seasoned at professional level and has been involved in 12-round bouts four times in the past. That\u2019s in contrast to the 8-0-1 Whittaker who only turned professional in 2022 and is yet to go beyond 10.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.2; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">When asked by BoxingScene whether the fight was 10 or 12 rounds, Boxxer\u2019s Ben Shalom told BoxingScene via text message: \u201c10 \u2013 confirmed with the Board [of Control] and communicated to all parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.2; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">This was verified by Robert Smith of the BBBoC. \u201cAs things stand it\u2019s 10 rounds,\u201d he told BoxingScene. \u201cBut I haven\u2019t seen any contracts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.2; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">The contest is set to take place at Resorts World Arena, Birmingham.
