{"id":198618,"date":"2025-06-20T01:37:17","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T01:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/198618\/"},"modified":"2025-06-20T01:37:17","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T01:37:17","slug":"france-jordan-urge-de-escalation-in-middle-east-call-for-revival-of-iran-nuclear-talks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/198618\/","title":{"rendered":"France, Jordan urge de-escalation in Middle East, call for revival of Iran nuclear talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISTANBUL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot on Thursday met with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Paris to discuss escalating tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing the need for regional stability, a ceasefire in Gaza, and a diplomatic resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the face of the current military escalation in the Middle East, I reaffirmed France\u2019s commitment to the security and stability of the region, including Jordan,\u201d Barrot said, adding that Paris is ready to \u201cstrengthen our partnership in this area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Iran, both ministers stressed the importance of returning to diplomacy, according to a joint statement, released by the French Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only sustainable solution to the Iranian nuclear crisis is diplomatic,\u201d they agreed.<\/p>\n<p>Barrot reiterated France\u2019s \u201ccommitment to contribute to a negotiated solution to Iran\u2019s nuclear program, in coordination with our partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, they called for \u201can immediate cease-fire and the release of all hostages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They issued \u201curgent appeals to the Israeli authorities to cease all obstruction to the entry, delivery, and mass distribution of humanitarian aid in coordination with the United Nations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barrot and Safadi also reaffirmed their determination to work toward convening a high-level international conference to implement the two-state solution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe postponement of the conference for logistical and security reasons does not alter the collective momentum it has generated,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>That vision, the ministers added, is built on \u201cthe recognition of Palestine, regional normalization and integration, the disarmament of Hamas, and the renewal of Palestinian governance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>                            &#13;<br \/>\n                                <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/en\/p\/subscription\/1001\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"font-size:12px;
