Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh<\/a>, was a vision in white as she celebrated her 26th wedding anniversary with Prince Edward<\/a> at Ascot<\/a> on Wednesday. The royal couple were joined in the second carriage of the royal procession by Princess Anne<\/a>, who no doubt fondly reminisced on their big day back in 1999.<\/p>\n

The Duchess, who is known for her stylish approach to the races, wore a white dress for day three at Ascot, decorated with emerald clovers. In keeping with the floral theme, Sophie opted for a white hat, adorned with flowers and a veil-like netting. A subtle nod to the day she and Prince Edward tied the knot, perhaps? The clovers, on the other hand, could be a tribute to the Royal Irish Regiment: after all, the 60-year-old royal has served as their Colonel-in-Chief since 2023.<\/p>\n

To complete the look, the Duchess of Edinburgh selected some dazzling earrings and a green stone necklace, while her sister-in-law, the Princess Royal<\/a>, dressed in a sapphire-coloured dress and matching veil, which she paired with a string of pearls and a pair of pearl earrings.
