A murder mystery, starring Liar and Angela Black star Joanne Froggatt, has been added to Netflix<\/a> today. <\/p>\n

It’s an Australian series called North Shore, set on and around Sydney Harbour, and was originally acquired by ITV<\/a> in the UK, streaming on ITVX following its initial release on Australian television in 2023. <\/p>\n

According to its synopsis, the six-part crime drama follows “the clash of cultures when a British and an Australian detective team up to solve a complex murder mystery and uncover a conspiracy with international political consequences”. <\/p>\n

The cast have won high praise from audiences, with IMDb reactions<\/a> pointing to the actors and the characters they portray as being some of the best aspects of the series. <\/p>\n

Alongside Froggatt, the cast of North Shore includes John Bradley West (Game of Thrones), Kirsty Sturgess (Thirteen Lives), Matt Passmore (Last Man Standing), Cassandra Sorrell and Dan Spielman. <\/p>\n

Elsewhere, one viewer has praised the show as having “one of the best twists of all time”, adding: “the final episode has the most surprising twist of any crime\/ murder mystery series since the first season of Broadchurch…”<\/p>\n

Another said that North Shore has “just the right amount of thriller and mystery to keep you wondering”, also pointing to “little hints of comedy” along the way.<\/p>\n

Not all reactions were completely positive though, with one saying that the series is “plagued by cliches that undermine its potential” and another calling it “predictable.”<\/p>\n

Now that North Shore is available to binge-watch on Netflix, we expect it to attract new audiences. <\/p>\n
