Manchester United are preparing for the possibility of sending Marcus Rashford out on loan for the entirety of next season.<\/p>\n
Rashford, 27, wants to join a Champions League<\/a> club and has not entertained a potentially lucrative move to Saudi Arabia or Turkey and United sources believe there is a low possibility that a suitable bidder will come in for the \u00a340million-rated forward.<\/p>\n Inter Milan tentatively enquired about Rashford when they expressed interest in Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> earlier this month but the Champions League finalists would only consider a loan deal.<\/p>\n Senior United figures expect Rashford to move abroad this summer<\/a>. Although Rashford has not ruled out joining a Premier League<\/a> club he does not want to move to London.<\/p>\n Sources close to Rashford insist he is not prepared to take a wage cut on his \u00a3325,000-a-week salary, which would restrict him to a handful of potential suitors in the summer. He is under contract at United until 2028.<\/p>\n Rashford scored four goals in 17 appearances on loan for Aston Villa in the second half of 2024-25 before a hamstring injury ended his season early in April.<\/p>\n United want to sell Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho but face significant obstacles with the majority of the forwards. Rashford and Sancho were both ostracised from the first team squad in separate seasons and Sancho is out of contract next year.<\/p>\n Garnacho’s value could dwindle after coach Ruben Amorim told him he could leave<\/a> before omitting him from the squad for the final game of the season against Aston Villa. Antony’s valuation of just under \u20ac40m is likely to be off-putting.<\/p>\n Barcelona have long appealed to Rashford while Paris Saint-Germain expressed interest in the past and met Rashford’s brother, Dwaine Maynard, in August 2022. PSG have since rebranded their first team and won their maiden European Cup with a younger and less egocentric squad.<\/p>\n Wingers Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are automatic picks at Barcelona, where the 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski is still their main striker.
