in which they fought back from 2-1 down to claim maximum points &#8211; before defeating the Dutch.<\/p>\n<p>Despite then letting a two-goal lead slip to draw against Nordic neighbours Finland, they still cruised through as one of the competition\u2019s top-scoring teams.<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle United striker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsmole.co.uk\/people\/william-osula\/\" title=\"More William Osula\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"autotag\">William Osula<\/strong><\/a> has found the net three times so far, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsmole.co.uk\/people\/conrad-harder\/\" title=\"More Conrad Harder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"autotag\">Conrad Harder<\/strong><\/a> bagged a brace against<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uefa.com\/under21\/match\/2043348--denmark-vs-finland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <\/a>Finland, so the Danes certainly have sufficient firepower to go further.<\/p>\n<p>Having reached the quarter-finals for a second time in the last three editions, they now aim to match their nation\u2019s best-ever runs at the Under-21 Euros: Denmark were beaten semi-finalists both in a famous year for Danish football, 1992, and again in 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"imgI\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"France Under-21s' Thierno Barry on June 11, 2025\" class=\"vanilla-lazyload article-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/https:\/\/sportsmole-media-prod.s3.gra.io.cloud.ovh.net\/uploads\/2025\/06\/barry-684f5328526e9386490439.j.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p>France, meanwhile, maintained their record of qualifying from the group phase in every appearance to date &#8211; albeit they only finished second in Group C.<\/p>\n<p>After kicking off with a goalless draw against eventual group winners Portugal, Les Bleuets were then involved in an epic game against Georgia, with their winner finally coming 12 minutes into added time.<\/p>\n<p>They then\u00a0saw off Poland by scoring three times in the first half-hour, and a 4-1 win sent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsmole.co.uk\/people\/gerald-baticle\/\" title=\"More Gerald Baticle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"autotag\">Gerald Baticle<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s boys through with room to spare, as fellow top-two contenders Georgia were well beaten by Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>Since replacing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsmole.co.uk\/people\/thierry-henry\/\" title=\"More Thierry Henry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"autotag\">Thierry Henry<\/strong><\/a> after the Paris 2024 Olympics, Baticle has posted seven wins, four draws and one defeat as head coach;
