Emergency services are at a Co Londonderry beach where a body has been found. <\/p>\n

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear, however police remain at the scene in Castlerock following the discovery on Friday afternoon. <\/p>\n

The area has been sealed off. <\/p>\n

A PSNI spokesperson said officers are currently in attendance \u201cafter a body was found on the beach\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cCordons are in place and the public is asked to avoid the area at this time,\u201d they added. <\/p>\n

PSNI Inspector discusses instances of assault while on duty <\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) confirmed it received a 999 call at 2.35pm following reports of an incident. <\/p>\n

It despatched a rapid response paramedic, two emergency crews, one HART crew and an ambulance officer to the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmbulance control also tasked the charity Air Ambulance, with HEMS Team on board, to attend,\u201d a NIAS spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
