<\/p>\nMaya Forstater, executive director of Sex Matters, has launched a fierce defence of JK Rowling after Stephen Fry branded the Harry Potter author “radicalised” and “a lost cause” over her views on transgender issues. <\/p>\n
Speaking to GB News, Forstater dismissed Fry’s characterisation as “utter nonsense”, insisting that “the idea that men are men and women are women is not a radical view”.<\/p>\n
Forstater told The People’s Channel: “What she’s done is stand up for women’s rights.”<\/p>\n

“Back in 2020, she tweeted, ‘I respect every trans person’s right to live in any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them’.<\/p>\n
“And yet, this year, we’ve seen J.K. Rowling refuse to use the pronouns that trans people would like others to use, quote-tweeting various trans women and calling them men. <\/p>\n
